Research

Kia ora!

I am currently completing my 'Masters in Health Science' thesis with AUT University.

My Master's research is whānau centred, with a Mana Wahine informative theoretical lens with a thematic analysis of data.

My aim of this research is to identify what the spiritual aspects of care is for wāhine during their hapūtanga, birth and immediately afterwards.

There's loads of research that highlights the importance of maternal and infant bonding, in regards to the neural development of the pēpi.

This research seeks to identify what the spiritual aspects of obtaining and maintaining maternal holistic wellbeing are, so that wāhine, whānau and health care workers are informed.
